1968 Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300ti

This little Alfa has been featured in our sister websites italiancar.com.au and blacksteelies.com and we thought it was time to mention it here.

It was rebuilt from a bare shell by a highly reputable Brisbane based Alfa Romeo specialist a few years ago. The intention was to create a dual purpose fast road/track day car and we think this has been achieved perfectly. It’s no trailer queen with the odd scratch here and there but it very well screwed together and has proven to be very reliable – and lots of fun.

2016 Mille Miglia: Alfa Romeo Win

An Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS built in 1931 won the Mille Miglia in 2016. It was 1 of 3 Alfas that finished in the top 5, making it a very successful race for the Milanese marque

This was the 34th re-enactment of Mille Miglia, designed to recreate the thrills and atmosphere of the “the most beautiful race in the world”. As well as the headline grabbing 8C winner the other Alfas in that finished in the top five were the third placed 1933 Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 Gran Sport and another 6C 1750 Gran Sport Zagato, this one from 1930 and belonging to the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese, came fifth.

New Alfa Romeo Logo

The Alfa Romeo logo is one of the most distinctive – and unusual in the industry. And Alfa have decided that the launch of massively important new Giulia is a good opportunity to give it a makeover.

Alfa To Go All RWD

It has been widely reported the motoring press that Alfa are planning to move to an all rear wheel drive model layout in the new future. Actually that’s not quite true as reports are also coming in of an imminent 4wd SUV – the first to carry the famous Alfa Badge.

We think this is a great move and look forward the Alfa really taking it to the dominant players in the sports sedan market – yes we mean BMW!
